The illustrated digital story behind Time Shift, following Victorian pharmacist John Walker after a spectacularly ill-advised experiment with a mysterious ancient manuscript leaves reality behaving rather badly.
Along the way you’ll encounter:
• A mysterious manuscript.
• An experiment that goes catastrophically wrong.
• The Traveller.
• The Burghers.
• An alternative world of strange science and steam-powered technology.
• Whitby.
And the growing suspicion that John Walker may have interfered with something that really should have been left alone.
The book also connects with the 14 Time Shift videos, allowing the story, music and films to become parts of the same journey.

THE STORY
THE JOHN WALKER IMAGINARIUM BOOK ONE – TIME SHIFT
- A mysterious manuscript.
- A Traveller.
- A world that should not exist.
When Victorian pharmacist John Walker discovers an ancient text in his quest to create fire-sticks, a fumbled experiment tears him from his own reality and casts him into an alternate world of steam-powered wonders, scientific mysteries and deadly conspiracies.
Pursued by shadowy organisations, aided by unlikely allies and hunted by forces he scarcely understands, John Walker begins a journey that will challenge everything he knows about time, destiny and the hidden architecture of existence.
Inspiring the acclaimed Gil Galad concept album and accompanying video series, The John Walker Imaginarium - Time Shift blends steampunk adventure, gothic mystery, science fiction and historical fantasy into an epic tale of parallel worlds and forgotten secrets.
